Greetings from the Indo-German Orthopaedic Foundation!

India has made massive strides in the fields of fitness and sports, as well as becoming an important player in the world when it comes to the delivery of healthcare. Chennai has always been the nerve centre of collaboration, discussion, debate, and progress in most areas of medical care and innovation in India. We are delighted to present a unique programme in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Arthroplasty, which for the first time incorporates a dedicated physiotherapy and rehab session.

I take pleasure in inviting you to the upcoming IGOF Master Course in Sports Medicine, to be held in Chennai from 12th to 14th October 2023. This event promises to be a remarkable blend of youth and experience as delegates in the field of orthopaedics from across the globe gather to share their knowledge and expertise.

IGOF organizes the Grand Orthopaedic Quiz to test the sharpest IQs of some of the finest minds in the healthcare fraternity. The platform welcomes those medical professionals who have a penchant for the intricacies in the field of orthopaedics. The event offers an opportunity to stamp a seal of authority in the country’s premier battle of the medical brains.

Participation Requisites

Should be a Postgraduate Trainee
Each team should send CVs of all team members (Total 3 members per team) to registrations@igof.in before

Accolades

Winning team shall be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 9,000/-
First runners-up team shall be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 3,000/-

My Worst Case

13^th October 2023 (1.30pm – 2pm)

This one-of-its-kind event on Day 2 is expected to receive a warm welcome from the attendees, as it is filled with personal experiences of some of the most renowned experts in orthopaedics. Experts come forward to share their worst encounters and throw more light to justify their stand on the case. Criticalities, unexpected events and crisis management would all be part of their discussion.

Pre-lunch Session : 13^th & 14^th October 2023

The prestigious Mohandas-Weller Gold Medal Award is conferred to young orthopaedic surgeons who can come up with innovative ideas or a distinguished presentation on a complex case. This award is an initiative to boost the budding talent to spread their lateral thinking across various interests in the field of orthopaedics and to attend complex scenarios with special interest, giving attention to details and to crack difficult problems.

Participation Requisites for Paper Presentation:

Should be a postgraduate or young orthopaedic surgeon below 40 years
The participants have to register and then submit the paper at the preview booth before 9am on the day of their presentation
Only first 4 registrants (1 presentation by each) will be selected for this pre-lunch presentation
Each presentation will be for 5 mins, with 2 mins for questions

If you are registering as a Medical Practitioner a registration fee of Rs. 1000 needs to be paid through Online Funds Transfer or Cheque or DD.
Account details for Online Funds Transfer will be emailed on the registered email id.
Payments made through Cheque or DD should be in favour of ‘IGOF’ payable in Chennai and to be mailed to INDO-GERMAN ORTHOPAEDIC FOUNDATION (IGOF) 4/112, Mount Poonamallee Road, Manapakkam, Chennai, India – 600 089. Ph: +91 44 4200 2288.
If you are making the payment though funds transfer, please email the reference number and your registration details to enquiry@igof.in to verify the transaction.
If you are making the payment though Cheque or DD please enclose your registration details while you courier for us to verify the transaction.

Fill all the required details in the registration form.
Registration Fee: Medical Practitioner – Rs.1, 000, Post Graduates – No Fee, IGOF Lifetime Member No Fee.
Upon completing the form include the payment by Cheque or DD in favour of ‘IGOF’ payable at Chennai.
